DUSKLOG 3/9/2026: Last year, I released "It Followed Me Home", a project which sought to delve into the deepest depths which I could conjure within the whims of Duskmaker as an exploration of sample-based production. Following this, a series of haunting revelations struck, not just in the greater world, but in my personal life as well. From this I was compelled to pursue something wildly different from what I had done before.
I had what felt like a vision of something which now feels like a distant memory--a world where everything past the year 2000 only continued to improve, instead of sharply declining following a certain major historical event which seemingly changed not just the course of our history, but the overall state of mind of every person following this event.
I thought about what I attribute most to this 90s-2001 "pinnacle of human civilization" era, and it ultimately came down to Sonic the Hedgehog, a rather simple and perhaps juvenile premise, but it felt like something that was necessary.
I listened back through a number of great soundtracks that defined my childhood, found some particular cuts that felt just right, and set off to make something utopian. What came out of this was one of my favorite little projects I've created: GOOD FUTURE! // ケノプシア
